The explosion in the number of tutoring services is due in part to the decreasing quality in American education as well as new opportunities for tutoring from No Child Left Behind Act. It has never been easier and more socially acceptable to get a tutor. More parents and students from preschool to college are turning to tutors for help. Not all tutoring services are reputable, however, and many tutoring services are not maintaining the highest standards of excellence. Because there are no regulatory agencies or certification programs for tutors, services must finding qualified tutors on their own.
